Forestry Ranger Santiago Mainar has been sentenced to twenty years and nine months in prison for the murder of Miguel Grima, Mayor of the small municipality of Fago.
The High Court of Huesca also ordered Mainar to pay €105,000 compensation to the family of the victim. The trial took place between November 16th and November 25th with the prosecution asking for, and getting, the 21 year sentence for murder, assault and illegal possession of weapons.
