According to the Agrofood Federation of the UGT in Málaga, the recent inclement weather resulted in the loss of 20,000 work days.
Losses in the olive sector, centred in Antequera, accounted for 18,000 lost days and losses in the citrus sector, centred in the Guadalhorce valley, accounted for nearly 2,000 lost days.
These lost days equate to around €1 million in lost wages in these sectors.
