Vélez-Málaga Council will be introducing signs in braille at several beaches in the municipality for the benefit of the visually impaired.
There will be three points in Torre del Mar and two in Benajarafe and they will be able to inform the totally blind or visually impaired about the services offered on the beach.
In Torre del Mar these points will be at the Yacht Club, near the Protección Civil booth and by the lighthouse. In Benajarafe the signs will be near the old station and by the Help centre.
The Council is hoping that these initiatives will help with the renewal of the Q for Quality certification for Torre del Mar and help obtain the award for Benajarafe.
