Some motorists have been confused by special new road signs recently installed in the town of Treviso, northern Italy.
The signs are triangular in shape with a red-border and bear an image of a well-endowed woman wearing a mini-skirt and high heels and carrying a handbag.
The caption is: attenzione prostitute – Watch out for prostitutes.
Thirty of these signs have been installed near Treviso and some motorists have apparently been confused, not sure whether they are supposed to look out for them crossing the road or are just being informed that they are available in the area.
Must be the first time Italian drivers have paid attention to a road sign.
