The Minister for Tourism, Trade and Sport, Luciano Alonso, has stated that tourism for Andalucia during Holy Week has been excellent with hotel occupancy of around 80%.
Alonso was speaking after the presentation in Madrid of the campaign ‘Andalucia, disfrutela’ (Andalucia, Enjoy it’) and added that the initial government forecast of 80% hotel occupancy has been ‘significantly exceeded’ in certain areas. The minister believes that this puts the region in good shape for the summer season.
Alonso is expressing optimism for the future of tourism in Andalucia due to the diversity of activities on offer, the quality of the hotels and the kindness of the Andalucian people.
