Prison for suspect in the case of woman missing in Fuengirola

A judge at the Court of Instruction Number 4 in Fuengirola has ordered the imprisonment of a man arrested last week in connection with the disappearance of a 36 year old Ukranian woman.

The detainee has admitted to cutting up the body of the woman and disposing of it but claims not to remember how she died.

In his statement, the accused says that he was in a bar in Fuengirola on the night of April 5th having a few drinks and then asked one of his friends for the phone number of the woman, known as Bianca. He states that he and Bianca were together for several hours and at 06:15 she called a taxi driver whom she knew and arranged to be picked up near Parque Miramar.

However, Bianca did not turn up, instead calling the taxi driver to say that the person she was with was going to take her home.

The accused claims that he drank a bottle of whisky and took drugs during the evening and stated that he thinks they may have had an argument although he cannot recall what about. He speculated that it could have been about money.
