A book, a tapa and a closure…

Well, haven’t done that for many a long moon, sit and read a (longish) novel from cover to cover and virtually to the exclusion of just about everything else. Just roasted on the balcony and read.

Thought I would see what all the fuss was about with the late Stieg Larsson, so grabbed a copy of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. And that was it.

Such an easy read. He has a very relaxing style of writing yet keeps your attention the whole time. Excellent book. Two more to go, just hope they are as good.

After that it was a cool beer and a lovely Cuban chili tapa on the terrace at Il Bambino at the bottom of avda Castilla Perez. Heaven.

Meson Cache in calle Málaga, next to Malibu, has closed.

Meson Cache, Nerja

Rather like the albondigas de bacalao (codballs) you get in some of the tapas bars so I thought I’d try some ready-made ones from the supermarket – frozen packet. Just bung them in the firer and voilà!

I was looking forward to them all the way home…and right up until dinner time…and I must say they were pretty…awful. Not getting those again. Too ‘mushy’ inside rather than pieces of fish and presumably not exclusively fish. Not impressed.
