Seprona officers have confiscated 222 kilos of immature fish in the town of Ubeda, Jaén.
The officers stopped a Peugeot van in which there was 37 cases of hake. A veterinary inspection of the fish resulted in them being declared unfit for human consumption as they did not meet the minimum size requirements for the species. The shipment also did not have the necessary health inspection certificate.
The consignment of fish was then destroyed.
