A 60 year old man died in the early hours of this morning after a fire at his fifth floor home in calle Manuel Casana in the Nervión district of Sevilla.
The fire began at around 01:30 and firefighters battled to extinguish the blaze, thick smoke hampering their efforts.
After this first part of the operation, a 60 year old man was rescued but he died a very short time later and all efforts to revive him ended in failure.
