The three people detained in connection with the death of Mercedes T in Guillén Moreno, Cádiz, have appeared in court and have been ordered to prison without bail.
The three detainees were in court for five hours before the judge finally ordered them to be detained in custody. The detainees were given a rough reception by the crowd gathered outside the court.
A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the case and has been charged with receiving stolen goods. He was found in possession of the TV stolen from the apartment of Mercedes T.
The police investigation has led to the conclusion that the motive for the crime was robbery, with several items having been removed from the scene. One of the accused was also found to be in possession of a set of keys to the apartment, thus explaining the fact that there was no sign of forced entry to the apartment.
