A workman who fell from scaffolding while working on a building in Mijas on Thursday is in a serious condition in hospital in Málaga.
The incident occurred at around 14:45. The injured man, aged 55 years, suffered multiple injuries including severe head trauma and was initially taken to the Las Lagunas Health Centre before being transferred by helicopter ambulance to the Carlos Haya hospital in Málaga.
The injured man is in the Intensive Care Unit at the Carlos Haya hospital and requires mechanical ventilation.
