The Association of Young Farmer, ASAJA-Málaga, has reported a new wave of robberies from farms in the Vélez-Málaga area, the thieves also causing much destruction.
The previous wave of robberies occurred during the World Cup final when almost everyone in the country was glued to their TV sets.
Now, thieves have struck again, stealing diesel oil, herbicides, cables, brush cutters, chainsaws and various other equipment from the farms.
ASAJA are concerned that a new wave of robberies will hit the area during the upcoming mango season, a tropical product with great value on the black market.
