The proposed strike by employees of Rincónbus, the company running the local bus service in Rincón de la Victoria has, at least for the time being, been called off.
The CGT Union has called off the strike after the bus company paid the outstanding salaries for May and June of this year.
The Union is now demanding that Rincónbus address the shortcomings relating to the health and safety of its workers, these being such things as the lack of fire extinguishers and other security measures on the vehicles.
The buses are said to be ‘very old’ and not in very good condition with only three of the five buses in the fleet being able to operate.
