Operation Return, marking the end of the holidays, started on Friday and, as of Monday morning, twenty-five people have lost their lives in twenty-three fatal traffic accidents on the roads in Spain. This is fourteen more than during the same period last year.
Saturday was the most tragic day of the weekend with fourteen people losing their lives and seven others being seriously injured.
Year to date, 1,109 people have been killed on the roads in Spain, 190 less than last year representing a 15% decrease.
