Work has finally started on the eagerly-awaited Football 7 pitch in the Verano Azul park, the project having the added advantage of permanently removing a further 100 or so (free) parking spaces. Work should have started on the project, valued at €250,000, at least two weeks ago but suffered a couple of delays for some reason.
The project is being financed under the Fondo Estatal para la Sostenibilidad y el Empleo Local (FESEL), better known as the Second Plan Zapatero.
The project currently has a completion period of five months.
