Eleven Moroccan adults were rescued early on Sunday morning about 24 miles off Cabo de Gata in Almeria, a popular destination for visitors who do not wish to adhere to the normal documentary requirements for entry into Spain.
The small boat was spotted at 05:00 and a helicopter and rescue boat were sent to intercept. The passengers, all adults and in good health, were taken to Almeria Port.
