A small boat carrying 31 North Africans was intercepted early on Tuesday morning off the coast of Granada.
The passengers, whose tour operator had obviously forgotten to tell them to bring their travel and other documents, included two women and three children. Upon arrival in Motril they were given blankets and food by the Red Cross.
All the passengers were in good health after their wasted journey and are now being held at a detention centre in Motril.
