A 24 year old Spanish woman was found dead from multiple stab wounds at her home in Andratx on the island of Mallorca, the 53rd victim of domestic violence so far this year.
The body of Nuria Orol Sarabia was found at 21:00 at her home in calle Gabriel Roca, the cause of death being stab wounds to the chest and abdomen.
The woman’s partner, a 37 year old Moroccan national, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Although there was no official record of any complaint of abuse by the victim, the detainee was the subject of judicial enquiry relating to violent conduct against his former partner. However, as his former partner refused to make a denuncia the case was dropped.
