A two year old toddler died on Sunday in Ganzo, in the municipality of Torrelavega, after being hit by a train at a level crossing.
The incident occurred at 12:55 at the crossing near the petrol station. The crossing has no barriers but does have warning lights and an acoustic signal.
The child was from a settlement about 150 metres away where several gypsy caravans are located. Doctors tried to revive the young boy but without success.
