The Blue and Whites managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on Sunday afternoon, losing 3-2 to Real Sociedad after having been leading up until the 89th minute.
A Demichelis own goal gave Real the lead in the tenth minute but Rondón then equalised for Málaga ten minutes later and Fernández put the visitors ahead on the hour. And so it stayed until the 89th minute when Vela scored for Real followed, one minute later, by a strike from Ifrán.
