Pharmacies throughout Valencia have today begun a three day strike in protest at the government’s failure to pay monies owed to them. The Valencia government, meanwhile, has promised to pay €60 million to the pharmacies later this week.
A minimum service will be in operation with one pharmacy in each municipality being open to ensure that as many people as possible will have access to necessary medicines. There is also a freephone number available for anyone concerned about getting hold of prescriptions etc, this being 900 101 081.
