It has emerged that Inmaculada D.R., the woman stabbed and killed on Tuesday night in Marchena by her former partner had been mistreated since 2004.
The victim suffered abuse and in 2004 and 2005 spent two weeks in a refuge for battered women. In 2006 she submitted a formal complaint but later retracted it. Then, in 2011, she made another complaint and a restraining order was placed on her partner, 35 year old Fernando F.G.
Inmaculada D.R. died and her current partner was injured on Tuesday evening. The current partner was attacked first and left to seek treatment in hospital. Then, Fernando F.G. took his young daughter home and left her with neighbours before returning and killing his former partner.
