Local Police in Granada have charged a local jeweller after over 2,000 counterfeit items were found in his shop.
The jeweller, fully licensed, was selling the fake brands, such as Cartier, Bulgari and Tous, for the same price as the real thing.
The police operation, codenamed ‘Reno’, was part of the Special Christmas Reinforcement Plan. Also confiscated during the operation were 200 items of sports apparel, mainly relating to the football clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona.
In total, over 2,400 counterfeit items were identified during the operation.
