The Council is preparing to stage the third ‘Mi primer concierto en la Cueva’ (My First Concert in the Caves), a musical and educational programme of eleven concerts to be held in the Nerja Caves.
Around 3,000 Primary School students from Málaga, Rincón de la Victoria, Periana, Comares, Alcaucín, Vélez Málaga, Torre del Mar, Motril, Arenas, Iznate, Fuengirola, Cártama, Moclinejo, La Cala del Mora, Benalmádena and Torrox are expected to attend the concerts.
The concerts form part of the ‘Programa Imagina’ whereby children are introduced to music and the arts. There will be performances of the popular classics by the Orquesta Imagina, formed mainly from professors from the Nerja School of Music and Dance, as well as shows by La Carpa.
