A 66 year old man died last night after allegedly being beaten by his carer, a 48 year old woman.
Shortly before 01:00, police were called to investigate a disturbance in an eighth floor apartment in avenida de Andalucía in the Chana district of Granada.
Upon arrival, police found the carer covered in blood after apparently after having beaten the man to death with a blunt instrument. The man’s wife, aged 80 years, was found unconscious and is now in hospital. It is thought she was woken by the screams of her husband and was then also attacked. Her condition is said to be serious.
The carer has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
