Election banners are now adorning streets throughout the town as the region enters the Porky Pie Period (PPP), or Official Campaign Period as it is jokingly known, with the PP favourites to end 30 years of PSOE rule. Could the sewage plant suddenly be back in the news?
If the PP do win, and all the polls suggest they will, all the various administrations – central, regional. provincial, district and municipal – will all be of the same political hue for the first time since democracy was restored after the Franco regime.
