A 26 year old man has been arrested after allegedly killing his partner, a 39 year old Cuban woman, Ángeles, at their home in Tolosa, Guipuzcoa.
At around 20:00 on Sunday evening, Ángeles ex-husband went to visit her at her home in calle Uzturre in the Larramendi district of Tolosa and became concerned when she didn’t answer the door.
Police officers found the body of the woman, with knife wounds to the neck, in one of the rooms. Several knives were found at the scene, one of which is believed to have been the murder weapon.
The partner was detained some three hours later and confessed to killing Ángeles. The 26 year old has seven prior arrests, including one for domestic violence against a former partner, and has served several years in jail. However, there was no record of a prior complaint of abuse within this particular relationship.
