Local Police officers in Estepona surprised six people in the act of robbing houses in urbanisation Casasola on Friday.
The officers first spotted three people carrying a large TV out to a vehicle with its engine running so stopped them and asked them for identification. While they were doing this they noticed three other individuals carrying various items over a wall of a nearby house.
Checking the house, the officers found a broken window and a pile of items outside ready to be taken to the waiting vehicle. The inside of the house had been ransacked.
The six individuals were arrested and then handed over to the National Police.
