The fishing boat ‘Hermanos Jiménez López’ out of Caleta de Velez captured a record breaking Angler fish weighing in at 60 kilos.
The fish, measuring 1m 60cm in length. 1m 15 cm wide and with a 45cm mouth, was caught in the Alborán Sea on Tuesday.
The fish was acquired by the Castillo del Marqués hostelry school in Valle-Niza for €250 and will be on the menu next week. Of the 60 kilos of fish, 12.5 kilos is actually usable.
