A 17 year old youth had to be rescued after suffering an injury while hiking along the rio Chillar at Salto Grande.
The youth was part of a tour comprising students from a college in Málaga. The incident occurred just before 16:00 on Tuesday afternoon. Civil Protection officers, using a 4×4, transferred the youth to La Cantera where an ambulance was waiting to take him to the Health Centre for treatment.
