A man is in a critical condition in hospital as a result of hurling himself of a balcony after allegedly killing his partner at their home in Salt, Girona.
The couple, who have a young child, had returned this morning from a holiday. A discussion about jealousy apparently turned into an argument with fatal consequences as the man, a Honduran national, stabbed his partner to death.
The man then hurled himself off the balcony in an attempt to commit suicide and is now in a critical condition in the Hospital Josep Trueta in Girona.
