Jorge Lorenzo won the British MotoGP at Silverstone to extend his lead at the top of the drivers’ standings.
Lorenzo started from fourth but battled his way through the field before taking the lead from Casey Stoner at the half-way point. Reigning champion Stoner was second, ahead of Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa.
