Jorge Lorenzo was a comfortable winner at Mugello in Italy to increase his lead at the top of the MotoGP standings. The Spaniard passed polesitter Dani Pedrosa at the first turn and was never really threatened as he recorded his fifth win of the season.
Andrea Dovizioso was third and reigning champion Casey Stoner was down in eighth after running off the circuit.
