Today is the Fiesta de Ajoblanco (a cold soup) in Almáchar, Málaga province, with around 10,000 people expected to attend and consume in the region of 2,000 litres of ajoblanco, 400 kilos of grapes and 200 litres of Muscatel wine.
The fiesta is in its 44th year and is one of the oldest gastronomical festivals of its kind in the province.
It all starts at 17:00 and continues until dawn, with music, dancing and other entertainment on offer. There will also be free sangria and tapas.
