A thief armed with a knife who injured a shop employee and robbed the cash register didn’t get very far after a policeman on vacation in Rincón de La Victoria just happened to be passing through the mall and gave chase.
The Guardia Civil officer, stationed in Logroño, heard the cries for help of the injured employee and chased down the thief. The stolen money was recovered and returned to the shop and the thief was arrested.
