The Guardia Civil have arrested a 25 year old man whose car rammed into the back of another vehicle in Huétor Santillán, Granada, causing the death of a five year old girl and seriously injuring three others including a pregnant woman.
The accident occurred on Sunday at 06:05 at km 255 of the A-292. The detainee, a resident of Guadiz, fled the scene on foot when the police arrived but was later captured. He had only just got his licence back after attending a few courses at the DGT and tested positive for alcohol.
