A 52 year old woman died on Friday in an apartment in Monachil, Granada, as a result of poisoning, probably due to a malfunctioning boiler. Three other family members were injured and required hospitalisation.
The Emergency Services received a call for medical assistance from someone in the building, located in the Veleta de Pradollano residential area, but were unable to gain entry. Police then broke down the door and found four people, one dead and three unconscious.
The injured were the husband of the deceased woman, their 22 year old son and a 23 year old girl. All three are in hospital in a serious condition although the prognosis is said to be favourable.
