Valencia 5-1 Málaga

Málaga did their chances of a top four finish no good after getting hammered 5-1 at Valencia on Saturday evening. Danai Perejo, Soldado with two and Canales put Valencia 4-0 up within 30 minutes before Baptista pulled one back for the Blue and Whites.

Banega made it 5-1 just after the break and that’s how it finished. Valencia are now fourth in La Liga with a three point cushion.

Barcelona rested a number of key players ahead of their Champions Lrague game against Bayern Munich and Messi was still unfit but they still managed to struggle to a 1-0 win against Levante to maintain their thirteen point lead at the top of the table. Fabregas scored the only goal of the match in the 84th minute.

Real Madrid also had one eye on their upcoming Champions League game and coach José Mourinho also made several changes, giving a first team debut to promising Brazilian youngster Casemiro. Ozil gave Real the lead on half time.

Benzema made it 2-0 before Molina pulled one back from the penalty spot. Ozil grabbed his second of the night to make the final score 3-1.
