David Arenas has been adjudged the winner of the III Photo Contest ‘Las Protegidas in Pictures’ organices by the Association of Residents of Las Protegidas.
The winning entry is entitled ‘Su gente’ and David Arenas has donated his prize money to the Taller de la Amistad, the local charitable organisation helping those in the community suffering mental disabilities.
Second prize went to Lola Quintana with a photo entitled ‘Frutería de mi barrio’ – Greengrocer in my neighbourhood – and third prize went to Macarena Sabio for her photo entitled ‘Nostalgia de la infancia’ – Childhood memories.
All the entries will be exhibited at the Municipal Exhibition Hall in calle Cristo untii June 7th, opening times being Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00.
