A 45 year-old German woman died on Friday at El Palmar beach in Vejer de la Frontera, Cádiz province, while trying to save her husband who had apparently got into difficulties in the water.
The sea was not rough at the time of the incident and it is currently thought that the husband suffered some sort of illness and got into trouble while swimming.
