Over 2,000 Buddhists from fifty countries are gathering at the Karma Guen centre in the village of Aldea Alta in Vélez-Málaga for the annual meditation course given by Ole Nydahl, one of the few existing Westenn Lamas.
The course continues until June 12th. Aldea Alta is one of the main centres of the Diamond Way, a branch of Buddhism for lay people which does not require practitioners to be monks.
