Maritime Rescue vessels intercepted two small pneumatic dinghies on Monday as they attempted to make their way across the Strait of Gibraltar to mainland Spain.
The first boat, with nine male and one female sub-Saharans on board, was intercepted off Tarifa. the second boat, with seven sub-Saharan males on board, was intercepted noy far from Punta Carnero.
Helicopters continued to search the area in case there were more boats on their way but none were found.
