After the rains passed, the gale force winds stopped and the sun came out it was quite a nice Boxing Day. Evidence of damage though, one of the flag poles on El Chucho beach looking as though it had been ripped out.

Bamboo in Plaza Los Cangrejos was doing a roaring trade in the middle of the afternoon and there were a few people on Torrecilla beach, although wearing coats, not swimwear.
