Málaga did themselves a bit of good by beating regional rivals Sevilla 3-2 on Sunday, rising to thirteenth in the table.
Duda gave the Blue and Whites the lead from the penalty spot before Bacca and Fazio turned things around to give Sevilla the advantage.
Garcia Sánchez and a second from Duda then turned things around once more and Málaga took the three much-needed points.
