Calle Victoria from Jardín de los Monos in the direction of Plaza de La Merced in Málaga is closed to traffic, in both directions now, for one week following the appearance yesterday of a sinkhole.
Following the appearance of the sinkhole at around 17:00, which revealed a large empty area below, police initially closed off one lane of the street but later decided to close the street completely.
Technicians are trying to locate the source of the problem , which could be one of the pipes beneath the street or even in a nearby area.
