Two people died and four others were injured following a head-on collision between two cars on the A-319 near La Iruela, Jaén, on Sunday.
The accident occurred at 23:00 on a curve near the Puerto de las Palomas viewpoint on the access road to the Cazorla,Segura y las Villas Natural Park. The reasons for the accident have not yet been determined.
A 21-year-old man, a resident of Cazorla, who was driving one of the vehicles and a 66-year-old woman passenger in the second vehicle died in the crash. Two women suffered broken bones and were taken to hospital in Ubeda while a 6-year-old suffered minor injuries and was discharged from hospital after treatment.
