A 29-year-old man from Algeciras died at dawn on Saturday morning following a fight at an ‘alternative club’ in the Los Cortijillos district of Los Barrios.
The incident took place at the Platinum Club at around 03:00, police being called when the man was discovered dazed and dizzy following a fight with four assailants. The man was rushed to hospital in Algeciras but died en route.
The assailants fled the scene in a car but one was identified and subsequently arrested a short while later. Initial indications are that the fight could have been related to alcohol and drugs.
