The Council has reported that the judgement obtained in the courts relating to the legitimacy of its Municipal Social Exclusion Programme is now final as the Junta de Andalucia has decided not to lodge an appeal.
In a judgment February 18th , the Labour Court number 10 in Málaga ruled that the City of Nerja had acted correctly when in 2012 it launched a special municipal program against social exclusion. The Junta de Andalucia had taken exception to the actions of the Nerja Council and had taken them to court.
