A 20-year-old youth died on Friday night after being hit by a locomotive on the Alar del Rey-Venta de Baños line near Villalobón in Palencia province.
The incident occurred at just after 21:00 on Friday at km 291,400 of the Alar del Rey-Venta de Baños line. The youth was alone and the circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
Rail services were disrupted for three hours.
