Sevilla are Europa League champions once more after beating Benfica 4-3 on penalties after a goalless ninety minutes and extra time. Benfica have now lost their last eight major finals.
Benfica dominated the second half but were hampered by some poor finishing and, according to some, a curse put on them by aggrieved former manager Bela Guttmann.
